Samir Derbas

Samir Derbas is strategic Advisor and Board Member at Retaj Engineering & Consulting. As a strategic finance expert, Mr. Derbas utilizes a refined acumen of financial management skills to help develop corporate structure, formulate project financing models and establish project profitability and pricing frameworks. Mr. Derbas is additionally responsible for managing Rejat’s investment strategy and implementing advanced real estate business models to drive operational efficiency. Furthermore, Mr. Derbas is a non-executive director (NED) at Harbor Real Estate in Dubai.

Prior to joining Retaj, Samir served as Chief Financial Officer for AlKhomasiah International Real Estate Development Group, helping develop the organization’s corporate strategy and EPM system. Additionally, he worked as CFO for Arabian Procession Holding (APH) and Saudi Airlines Real Estate Development Company (the real estate investment arm of Saudia Arabian Airlines Corporation).

Mr. Derbas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s degree in Real Estate and Property Management from Salford University in Manchester (UK). Mr. Derbas also holds professional certifications such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA).
